Much love to everyone at TCNJ last night. We got a lot of great feed back and even had some very supportive audience members. A few reviews below:

“I never cry at movies. I did at that.” (apparently this is a good thing)

“Why were you shaking your butts so much?”

“You guys made me want to be a better person.”

“Umm… you said there’d be pizza here?”

More info on showings coming soon! Keep May 29th open….

Thanks,

James

So we’re showing off the GWT movie at TCNJ this evening, and I couldn’t be more excited!

I’m sure the movie will answer a lot of questions like:

What did it smell like in the van? (better than expected)

Is Zach that dashingly handsome all day long, or just in the evening? (its 24/7 baby)

Aaaand maybe a little something about the 40+ incredible places we worked!

So if you’re in the upper-Jersey area come on over to the showing tonight, but if you’re not DO NOT fret, GWT will most certainly have a big Collingswood release. With maybe a red carpet? Or at least a red tablecloth. OK it’s a maroon napkin, but a guy can dream, right?

Its going to be really helpful to us to see what people think tonight, so be honest, and tell us what you love and hate so we can keep making the movie better!

Can’t stop the rock,

Tim

Hey everyone,

So we finished a very rough cut of the film! Congratulations to us! Zach and Eric are working on some original music and we’re very excited that Girl Talk has given us permission to use two songs in our film.  We’re working hard on cleaning up our film now and getting audio levels and graphics just so, as well as making sure it gets the seal of approval from all of the Good Works Fellows. Thanks for your support! We will be mail bombing you all shortly to tell you about our completion of the film!

Thanks,
James

From Bears to Bear Monkeys by jamesintrocaso

Good Works Fans,

I’m sure you’re all wondering what we did in our day in Austin, TX. We had a pretty full day and are staying here courtesy of Tim’s uncle and I couldn’t be more excited to be staying with such a cool dude. He’s made us feel very at home.

So we got to help out a local park less than a block from the house in which we were staying. We had to rebuild their storage shed and fix the ground beneath it and the rebuild the shed. All said and done, the shed is sturdy and the park has a new place to keep some of its supplies.

Next we headed over to the Austin Zoo, which is a non-profit zoo that has all rescued animals. Did you know drug dealers kept tigers? Me neither. Apparently they’re even scarier than big dogs. They had tons of animals and we helped them clean out trash by the Bear Monkeys and clear the brush in front of the bear pen. These videos will be forth coming as well as our experience with NAM in Houston. Look for those tomorrow.

One more thing. In Houston, the local paper The Sun stopped by the give us some coverage. Check out our story.

That’s if for now, Good Works Fans! We’ll be driving quite a bit tomorrow to get to El Paso, Texas to stop over briefly for our drive to St. Michael, Arizona, where we’ll be working at a Catholic School for Native Americans.

Kick it like Chung-Li from Street Fighter II,

James

NAM doesn’t just mean VietNAM anymore. by jamesintrocaso

Fans of Good Works,

Howdy, y’all, from Houston, Texas. Today we worked with a super awesome non-profit called Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM for short). It’s an organization that’s celebrating their 25th year and oh man are they on fire. They have so many social outreach programs from Meals on Wheels to a domestic violence awareness program to food pantries to many, many others. Today we worked at a resale shop that was operated by NAM and boy did we have a good time. Tim was stocking bookshelves while Zach and I were pricing items in the back warehouse (note to those who have never used a price label gun before… it’s fun… especially when you’re working next to someone like Mr. Wiseley). To find out more about NAM, you can visit their website. They were such a welcoming group of people who were excited about everything they do and their energy was nothing less than contagious.

Where will the Good Works Fellows be working tomorrow? Don’t look now, but tomorrow we head for Austin to work at the Austin Zoo. Get ready for lots and lots of monkey business. Yeah, I said it.

Tonight, we also post the second video of our New Orleans adventure. We will never forget our experiences there and to anyone thinking about volunteering in that city, go ahead and do it. They need all the help they can get.

Kick it like Pele,

James
